What you’ll do:
The Software Engineer (Java & Data Engineering) is an integral part of a cross-functional squad, you’ll be part of an end to end major transformation, migrating applications to the cloud.
You’ll have solid Data engineering skills, understanding the migration of data from one system to another (legacy to modern).
You’ll learn the equifax products/ frameworks, develop your data engineering, and hands on java skills. While coordinating with global and local teams. You’ll also gain access to emerging technologies in the ANZ region, making your self
Equifax is an extremely data rich and technology driven place, you will be working in a multidisciplinary environment. In addition to supporting international products, we’re at the beginning of a major digital transformation, migrating onto the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a huge transformation and an opportunity to be on the ground floor of something exciting.
What are we looking for?
Strong hands on experience in Java – object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, debugging, unit testing, and continuous integration
Experience with REST based API Development
Experience with Source Code Control systems like Git and CI/CD systems preferred
Knowledge of continuous integration technologies (Maven, Jenkins, Sonar)
Experience with ETL Concepts (Extract, Transformation and Load)
Computer science background
Extra points for any of the following:
Streaming data knowledge is a plus
Experience in Cloud technologies (GCP is a plus)
