EQUANS are recruiting for a HR Apprentice to be based at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth. The successful candidate will be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in HR. This is a full-time working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview
The Purpose of this role will be to support the HRBP to deliver an excellent end to end HR service to Managers and employees on site. The ideal candidate will be truly passionate about people and delivering a high level of Customer Service. Provide administrative support, including but not limited to processing paperwork, filing, dealing with emails, creating reports, gathering information, making bookings, arranging meetings for all elements of the people process.
What will you deliver?
As part of the HR team assist with filing, photocopying and scanning of documents
Support the HRBP by being a point of contact for HR related issues
Assist in any other admin tasks as requested by HR Advisor
Support the HRBP in tasks such as Maternity, Paternity, Parental Leave and Flexible Working requests
Attend mandatory components of the Apprenticeship Framework including: Corporate induction
Involvement in HR projects when required
At ten months into the programme you are required to meet with a member of the Lifelong Learning team to discuss careers advice and guidance
Provide the range of necessary administrative services to an agreed individual or team in a highly efficient manner and so ensure that your designated area of work runs smoothly and efficiently
Work with those you support to develop a collaborative working partnership, which positively contributes to their overall efficiency & role performance
Proactively identify additional support services which would increase the efficiency of those you support and instigate these activities in agreement with your executive / team
Maintain and improve your knowledge & understanding of the health service arena generally and, more specifically, the area of focus for those you support
Assist in the recruitment process
Ensure confidentiality is always maintained.

Who are we looking for?
Have a sound understanding of Microsoft Office/Excel
At least 2 GCSE’s (preferably in Math’s and English.) grade A – C or equivalent
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Reliable and flexible
Conscientious and meticulous in approach to work
Willing to learn in a fast-based environment
Live within an acceptable travelling time of the Hospital.
