THE DETAILS:
You’ll be joining our Upholstery Production Manufacturing team on a full time, permanent basis

To lead production staff towards ensuring customer satisfaction through the achievement of on-time delivery, at the lowest cost possible and the highest quality standards

Promote and enforce Health and Safety policies to ensure the wellbeing of production staff

Review and prepare all piecework and gainshare report on a bi-weekly basis Complete Annual Performance Reviews and provide regular feedback on performance to direct reports

Coach and mentor team leaders and operators to reach their full potential

Motivate and engage employees in the achievement of higher standards through the sustainment and enhancement of the EQ3 production system

Ensure performance management targets and metrics are clearly communicated throughout the production department for successful achievement

Partner with Human Resources Manager and the Operations Manager in the resolution of employee concerns

Actively foster a built-in quality culture

Partner with Quality Control, R&D, Customer Service, and other appropriate areas to address quality problems and perform root cause analysis to prevent them

Ensure that production areas are on time according to the EQ3 Production System rainbow schedule

Work closely with Palliser (Winnipeg) and Matamoros (Mexico) to ensure supplies are delivered in a timely manner

Create, update, share and interpret production reports to make the best decisions based on the current circumstances

Maximize capacity utilization by keeping proper staffing levels and by ensuring that employee training is effective and expedited

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Post-secondary education in related field

Preference will be given to candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

Operations Management Certification, or equivalent, by and accredited institution

Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification or experience considered an asset

Strong MS Office skills, above average Excel skills an asset

Familiarity with AS400 or similar systems

5+ years of experience in manufacturing concepts and operations

2+ years in a supervisory role, preferably with people from different cultures and backgrounds

Lean Manufacturing experience will be considered an asset

Fast paced and self-motivated individual who thrives in a high energy environment with proven track record of delivering results
