Supported by Midwifery educators and teams across our Maternity services including post-natal, birth-suite & special care nursery

The Program

Joining our Maternity 2023 Post Graduate Program, you will be joining our amazing team of midwives to extend your professional skills and knowlegde within the provileged field of midwifery. You will be supported, guided and coached throughout the program by designated Clinical Educators.

In this fixed term role, commencing in February 2023, you will be working on a rotating roster whilst completing a Graduate Diploma in collaboration with our partner universities. This is a 0.8 EFT position, with 0.5 EFT a padi model, and o.3 EFT a supernumerary student model (unpaid). Throughout this program you will work across Postnatal, Birth Suite, Special Care Nursery and the Antenatal Doctors Rooms.

Once you have been notified of a successful application for a Post Graduate position with Epworth you will need to apply directly to the agreed University, which is through a seperate process.

Graduate Diploma is in collaboration with LaTrobe University

34 Postnatal beds, 9 Birth Suite rooms and 10 Special Care Nursery beds

Supported by our 24hour ICU, 18 theatres across our Clarendon Street and Victoria Parade site

Hands-on Educational support, reinforced with various education models and the use of our Educational Simulation Centre

Graduate Diploma is in collaboration with Deakin University

18 month program

4 birthing suites, 4 Special Care Nursery cots, post-natal ward, lactation and domiciliary service

Supported by our 24hour ICU, Emergency Department, and 11 operating theatres

Hands-on Educational support, reinforced with various education models and the use of our Educational Simulation Centre

To be successful in this role…

You are passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience by delivering high-quality Midwifery care. Professional, empathetic and compassionate in your personal conduct, you have the ability to inspire others and be a positive role model. You are motivated to continually learn, improve and promote best practice.

You will have:
Current AHPRA Nursing registration

Australian Citizenship or Permant Residency; OR New Zealand Citizenship

You will have a minimum of one-year acute clinical Nursing experience following your graduate year

Annual salary range for full time: $66,889 – $89,951 p.a + super + allowances (depending on your year level and pro-rata for part time)
