Overview:

As Accounts Assistant/ Analyst, this role will be responsible for the daily bank reconciliations within APAC (Australia and New Zealand) and ensuring that cash is posted and reconciled on a daily basis. This role will also support the APAC Management Accountant on the accounting side and will therefore provide an excellent development opportunity for the right person in this role.

Main Responsibilities:

• Daily posting of all transactions from the bank statements into the accounts system and reconciling all transactions to the supporting documentation in the accounts system.

• Obtain supporting information from the payment gateways on a daily basis to enable posting of all transactions. The payment gateways are Adyen, Stripe, Go Cardless for Australia and Go Cardless for New Zealand.

• Ensuring that the bank statements are imported to the accounts system on a daily basis.

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and month end bank reconciliations.

• Deal with discrepancies and queries on a daily basis without allowing unreconciled items to build up on the reconciliations.

• Supporting the Management Accountant for APAC on Fixed Assets register and stock reconciliation.

• Supporting the Management Accountant for APAC on monthly Intercompany reconciliation for APAC and other entities.

• To contribute to the continuous process improvement of accounting processes and management information for APAC.

Experience and attributes:

• Good accounting knowledge and experience gained as an accounts assistant or analyst.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced finance team to strict deadlines.

• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage workload with timely escalation of queries.

• Ability to work independently and use your own initiatives to problem solve.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Good analytical skills.
