As a Valuation Underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing a high volume pipeline of homes offered for sale, establishing the ARV (After Repaired Value), forecasting monthly rental rates and helping to determine the total cost to renovate the home, and establishing a price for EPOC to purchase the home. Our Underwriters research individual assets, uncover neighborhood trends, and serve as internal experts on the broader valuation landscape. You must excel at being both a builder and a producer. Primary responsibilities as follows:

• Analyze potential acquisitions in compliance with EPOC valuation guidelines, playbooks, and investor requirements to develop precise, supported, accurate opinions of value

• Use data to identify market trends, increase return on investment, and guide better acquisition decisions

• Research individual homes, determine comparable sales based on internal analytical tools, MLS records, and county archives

• Collaborate with Acquisitions Associates and Construction to correct any missing/inaccurate information in underwriting practices

• Own and stay up to date with the most current company underwriting guidelines, policies, procedures and playbook, work directly with management to package learnings, and assist with systems development

• Manage a high deal flow pipeline and prioritize work to ensure acquisitions are made with extreme accuracy and urgency

• Present verbal and written analysis and be able to defend it

• Analyze data collected through 3rd party valuations and rebut 3rd party valuations as needed

• Provide analytical support and complete special projects for all functional areas within the real estate portfolio

Applicant Requirements:

• 2+ years of professional analytical or quantitative experience

• 1+ years of experience in a high growth startup environment

Pay: $93,000.00 per year
