Sr. Accountant position at Epiphany Farms Hospitality group provides accounting support to the organization and assists the Admin/Finance Officer of the company with a wide variety of daily accounting functions. This position will also provide direction and support to the restaurant operational team in areas related to the financial reports, internal controls, costing, inventory, labor management, payroll etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to:

• Prepare periodical financial statements and ensure the reports are accurate, timely and in accordance with accounting guidelines and procedures
• Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.
• Assist operations with budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial reports and analysis
• Oversee the daily transactions including deposits, AR/AP, tip allocations, sales data imports from POS system
• Perform bank accounts reconciliations
• Lead, drive, communicate and be accountable for shared service strategies that deliver high quality, cost-effective and value support services across Epiphany Farms Hospitality Group brands
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings and work with external CPA
• Prepare and pay various taxes and returns with federal, state, and local government agencies
• Assist with payroll, payroll data imports, mapping GLs
• Gain a thorough understanding of the financial operations of industry-specific engagements
• Perform other job-related duties

REQUIREMENTS: *

• Required 2+ years of accounting experience in high volume business
• Possess Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field
• Strong MS Excel skill
• Any restaurant experience is preferred
• Restaurant accounting experience is preferred
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
