Epigenetics Ltd Hiring for Packing Assistant Full Time

This role requires a high attention to detail with the accurate picking and careful counting/checking of products, combined with the speedy packing of complete orders. With this being a physically demanding role, an aptitude for working on your feet in a busy, fast-paced setting is key.

Job Description

This role involves the day-to-day picking and packing of customer orders in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for efficient picking of items from our product shelving, carefully counting/checking picked orders and then packaging orders appropriately ready for dispatch. As part of the role, you will be expected to work on your feet for most of the shift and occasionally lift/move boxes weighing up to 30kg. Whilst this is a fast, high-energy packing environment, we are also human! For our small team of packers, we do not enforce any quotas and fair time is provided for lunch and breaks throughout the shift to alleviate any fatigue.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

• Day-to-day picking and packing of customer orders.
• Careful counting, checking and approval of picked orders.
• Careful checking of correct labelling and product best before dates before despatch.
• Replenishment and facing-up of stock, carrying out stock rotation as required.
• Preparing boxes/packaging as necessary for daily requirements.
• Logging of stock received from Production, updating relevant boards/shelves as necessary.
• Logging/monitoring of backorders and requesting items from Production when necessary.
• Performing periodic stock checks of finished products and packaging/supplies.
• Requesting purchase of packaging and supplies to ensure appropriate levels.
• Maintenance/organization of the despatch shelving, work area and storerooms.
• Performing basic housekeeping/tidying of the despatch area.
• Completing data entry on the company website and in relevant files as required.
• Undertaking all training as required for the position.
• Undertaking any other duties, in addition to those stated above, as deemed necessary by management.
