Job Title: Departmental Resource Specialist

Department: Operations

Reports To: Director of Logistics

Compensation: 41,000.00

TRS Classification: Non-Classified

Summary:

The Departmental Resource Specialist performs a variety of clerical work including word processing, accounting and record keeping assignments under general supervision. The specialist will work with the logistics team to manage information regarding vendors, sites, contracts, and work orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Collect data and run reports to assist the facilities team
• Record keeping and filing
• Maintains work orders
• Assists with contracts and special projects
• Maintains databases and spreadsheets as needed
• Processes requisitions to purchase supplies and materials
• Communicates procedures and stays up to date with changes
• Interfaces with all levels of personnel within the department
• Coordinates and distributes the workload of the office through computer software
• Schedules appointments and maintains office calendar

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• No supervisory responsibilities

Education and/or Experience

• Experience in record keeping, facilities, and property management is preferred

Qualifications

• Some coordination with others is occasionally necessary, so strong communication skills are important in this position
• Must work at a good pace to ensure that records are well-maintained at all times
• Need to have multitasking skills
• Basic knowledge of facilities management
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to present effectively and persuasively

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office and Google Tools. Must have a high aptitude to learn new software as necessary for the business operations of the school.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Current driver’s license and valid car insurance
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Other Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a state-mandated background check after a conditional offer of employment is made
• Must have favorable employment references

The person in this position works at all Epic facilities. Many of these facilities will be undergoing remodel or construction. The noise level is usually moderately loud (when students or construction crews are present.)
