We are hiring a full time, temporary Administrative Assistant position for up to 11 months working out of Edmonton, Alberta.
ing to the Director, Customer Operations in EPCOR’s Electricity division and supporting the management team, the Administrative Assistant in this role is responsible for providing administrative services at EPCOR’s South Service Centre (SSC). This includes managing the facility and its vendors and being the general go-to expert for resolution of any internal EPCOR processes or SSC issues.
This position has a great deal of autonomy and is expected to take initiative, be proactive in anticipating the needs of the team, execute problem-solving skills and ensure the large volume of tasks are prioritized and executed.
What you’d be responsible for
Providing day-to-day assistance to the Director, Customer Operations, anticipating needs and requirements without direct input.
Providing administrative support to the Customer Connections, Meter Operations and Meter Data & Billing teams, as required.
Supporting Customer Operations in developing presentations and s for various audiences.
Coordinating and supporting Committee Day for the Electricity Leadership team.
Ensuring action items are complete on monthly operational s and yearly business plans.
Coordinating service providers and security (e.g., contractors, couriers, janitorial services, etc.) at the South Service Centre and resolving any issues.
Preparing and submitting bimonthly cheque deposits and requisitions and helping to manage purchase orders.
Maintaining SharePoint sites for Customer Operations, Customer Connections, Meter Operations and Meter Data & Billing teams.
Coordinating and executing all aspects of internal events, including catering, audiovisual requirements and budget adherence.
Managing the office supply inventory in a cost effective “just in time” manner.
Completing service requests and facility requests for employee changes at the SSC.
Working collaboratively with other EPCOR Administrative Assistants to support and provide coverage, as requested.
What’s required to be successful
5+ years of related office experience.
Administrative Professional Certificate or Business Administration Diploma would be an asset.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Advanced skills and knowledge in SharePoint design.
Basic knowledge of Electricity Operations distribution system and internal EPCOR processes considered an asset.
Proficient in developing systems to organize workflows, assure quality and provide timely services.
Proven ability to prioritize while managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Exhibits great communication, an independent working style and the ability to resolve issues.
