Duties of the successful candidate include but are not limited to the following:Reading and understanding transmission line drawings and project specificationsAssist in creating 3D models and detail drawings using Autodesk InventorRevise and update drawings based on red lines or feedback from engineers and senior detailers.Ensure BOMs are accurate and align with procurement and fabrication needsLearning and ensuring all work comply with utility pole industry standards, safety codes, and internal detailing guidelinesMeeting deadlines while ensuring quality workCollaborating and communicating effectively with local and international teammatesManaging tasks in a fast-paced environmentWorking overtime when needed to meet project goalsSafety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able todemonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, andhousekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:Able to communicate in EnglishIndustrial Training Institute (ITI) Draughtsman certificate, Polytechnic Diploma, Senior Secondary Education, or equivalentOne or more years school or work experience with Autodesk Inventor, Fusion, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Creo, NX, or CatiaPreferred Qualifications:Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering DiplomaOne or more years’ work experience with regular Autodesk Inventor useCompetency using Bluestar Project Lifecycle Management (PLM), Fusion Manage, or similar softwareNucor is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer – M/F/Disabled/Vets – and a drug – free workplace
