About Enterprise Alumni
Enterprise Alumni is the market leading provider of Alumni Management software. Our platform helps our clients (Nike, Google, LinkedIn, Citi, JPMorgan, Coca-Cola) maintain and maximize relationships with their Alumni. Through our platform, customers are able to drive recruiting efforts, sales opportunities and brand advocacy back into their organization.
We have doubled head count in 2022 and are currently a 50 person strong global company with offices in London and Los Angeles and remote team members across the globe in Argentina, Brazil, Macedonia, Mexico, Philippines, Portugal, Spain.
The Role:
This is a global role, supporting our COO support our international team.
Reporting to: You will report directly to the COO.
Direct reports: None but support from office administrator(s)
Role type: We are offering the role as part-time, 3-4 days per week
Flexibility: Flexible working is core to the business, with the sole exception being at least one day a week in our London office to collaborate with the leadership team.
Location: Flexible but within commuting distance of London office.
The candidate will develop and implement an HR Strategy, in conjunction with the leadership team, to promote an organisational culture of teamwork, service, high quality, transparency, accountability, innovation and inclusiveness.
The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the HR function, playing a key role in building the HR function for Enterprise Alumni through the development and implementation of sound HR policy, setting up of user friendly HR systems and processes, and provision of employee life cycle support to the small but busy international Enterprise Alumni team.
What You Will Be Doing
We have just started to evolve and digitise our HR systems and processes, following the recent appointment of our COO. In the last few months we have achieved a number of Company firsts, which we would like the candidate to build upon.
The Company now has a monthly all hands to increase communication quality and frequency.
We no longer deal with intermediaries; all people are directly engaged by the Company.
We migrated to a new cloud based HRIS, Bamboo HR
We communicated the company KPIs and targets and brought them into our performance and goal setting process.
We ran our first companywide performance management process.
We conducted our first company feedback survey.
We have consolidated all our contractors onto a new platform.
Whilst we have started to make progress on HR initiatives, the role remains a rare ‘blank-sheet’ opportunity where you are empowered to make decisions on systems, policies and working practices, hand in hand with the executive team as the organization aims to put in strong foundations to deliver our growth objectives.
We want the candidate to help us develop and build an HR roadmap as we seek to create a sustainable high performing culture. We see the pillars of this as follows:
i) Business partnering
Build on our existing employee handbook and support us to embed clear policies and procedures.
Work with team leaders to actively manage the performance and goals of our employees
Ensure that our people have clear goals but also are enabled to successfully deliver those goals.
Create visibility over the organizational hierarchy with transparency and progression
Work with functional leaders to ensure that our people have a career development framework
ii) Policy and practice
Ensure we are meeting local legislation and best practice around the world.
Ensure our people can access the tools or materials necessary to do their work and to support their development.
iii) Strategic work
Work with us across a number of strategic initiatives:
Talent acquisition
Build an HR strategy that finds us the best talent globally and builds a best in class working environment
Work with COO and SVP Finance to design incentive plans to attract, motivate and reward our people
High performance culture.
Create a values framework across the organisation to embed the pillars of a high performing framework.
Support the implementation of an Company wide OKR framework.
Compensation and reward strategy
Jointly develop and then administer a staffing budget with the SVP of Finance and the COO
Support a salary and benefits benchmarking exercise across the organisation, for now and the future
Requirements
UK based, with necessary right to work in the UK.
Chartered member of CIPD is necessary. Minimum 3 years post qualification experience.
Substantial experience of working within a generalist HR environment, ideally with some experience as an HR Business Partner
Previous experience working in an international HR environment and/or as part of an HR team in a scale-up environment
Willingness to cover the full HR function; from the strategic to the “hands on” more administrative aspects of the role
Sound, up to date knowledge of employment legislation
English fluency (Both spoken and written), Spanish or Portuguese advantageous but not necessary
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask while keeping stakeholders informed
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
