The Role:

As a Machinist you are an essential part of helping Entegris be part of the Future of Innovation. In this role you will be responsible for the machining of plastic and other resin materials using CNC and lathes. You will need to have a strong attention to detail and be able to work with SAP and other computer systems.
In this role you will also see a clear path for career advancement.   • Opening in Chaska Minnesota manufacturing facility. A clean, climate-controlled facility that fosters career growth and advancement possibilities.
  • This position will work C shift, 6am-6pm Thursday-Sunday, Friday-Sunday

In this role you will:

  • The machinist is responsible for setting up CNC machines utilizing manufacturing instructions for both long and short run production orders.
  • Run production orders complete or setup for manufacturing operators.
  • Program CNC mills or lathes for first time runs utilizing CAM software or conversational programming
  • Work is job oriented, following detailed blueprints, customer specifications, and internal work instructions;
  • Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers, (desktop and machine control varieties)
  • Operate powered machine tools such as vertical CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipment;
  • Set up simple to complex jobs without supervision;
  • Routinely perform initial setup on new parts;
  • May be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

  • At least 1 year related experience
  • Able to safely lift 60 pounds
  • Knowledge of CNC tooling and equipment
  • Possess math and precision measurement skills and able to read machine drawings;
  • Possess advanced knowledge of machining methods;
  • Understanding standard G and M code programming as well an understanding or a desire to learn the latest in conversational programming.
  • A highly motivated self-driven machinist with good attention to detail.
  • Enjoys working in a team environment and is able to work with limited supervision.
