Responsibilities:
The Business Development Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the growth of the company by developing technical and economic analysis on potential projects as a member of the Business Development Engineering team. Duties include:
- Collaborate with the Business Development (BD) and/or Commercial group to assess potential growth opportunities by developing high level scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules for multiple scenarios on potential new projects across various assets.
- Perform pipeline and facility simulations as necessary for the assessment.
- Provide support during the transition of successful BD Engineering projects to the project execution teams.
- Support the due diligence process for acquisitions and assist in the transition of acquired assets to asset teams.
- Attend project meetings with Asset Teams to ensure no interference with other projects.
- Travel required (approximately 25%).
Qualifications:
- BS in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering
- Minimum 5 years work experience
- Prior experience in oil and gas; processing facility design, compressor station design or Project management experience would be preferred
- Prior pipeline network simulation experience (gas or liquid); Plant Process Simulation experience would be also acceptable.
- Capable of working on existing and new assets
- Applied experience in developing economic computer models
- Self-starter and have the capacity to reason through a problem and find a solution
- Willingness to travel – approximately 25%
