What We’re Looking For… A smart, innovative, Healthcare Data Integration Analyst to serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on health care data sources and understanding how they can be leveraged for analysis and research. The ideal candidate will lead the mapping of new data sources and work with a variety of healthcare data sources.

Overview: The Healthcare Data Integration Analyst is the subject matter expert on health care data sources and understanding how they can be leveraged for analysis and research. Our team works in a fast-paced, rapid-learning environment with leaders in healthcare and software, working with massive data sets and healthcare data analytics. In this position, you will work with a variety of healthcare data sources and standardize outgoing and incoming data.

Responsibilities:

• The role works collaboratively with the data engineering teams and EMR vendors.
• Map complex healthcare-related data elements to a standard terminology
• Develop comprehensive documentation for data conversion and cross-walking, mapping data from the source to the target system
• Verify the extraction and normalization specifications applied to client’s data
• Review client’s data and dictionary updates and implement appropriate revisions to mapping tables
• Create and maintain data mapping and conversion documentation
• Work closely with others to resolve data anomalies
• Review, understand, and analyze a variety of large, real-world data assets
• Effectively explain data mapping rules to vendors and internal/external stakeholders
• Other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in healthcare data analysis and data mapping.
• Familiarity with programming languages and version control systems is a plus.

Education Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, healthcare administration, or a closely related field

Skills:

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience analyzing, aggregating, and understanding clinical or medical data.
• Strong understanding and demonstration of clinical process vocabulary.
• Strong knowledge of health information systems, including EMR and claims processing.
• Strong knowledge of relational database systems.
• Highly analytical and enjoys solving mysteries.
