Position Description: An Accounting Clerk is a professional whose duties include providing administrative assistance to accountants and is responsible for maintaining financial records, running reports, and recording a wide range of transactions.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform routine clerical accounting duties
• Be a resource for accounts payable. Collect and sort Vendor invoices; code and enter in Accounting System, process for payment and reconcile accounts to ledger and database.
• Be a resource for accounts receivable. Verify and post details of funds received and reconcile accounts to ledger and databases. Monitor account receivable, contacting customers for delinquent balances.
• Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and other accounting duties in a timely manner.
• Execute accurate reporting, filing, and database management in multiple systems.
• Support supervisory and executive staff by performing any assigned accounting and clerical tasks

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with aptitude to learn new systems. EPICOR knowledge preferred.
• 3-5 years of clerical accounting experience
