Accounting Manager

We are seeking a full-time Accounting Manager with 4+ years of experience! You will be responsible for the monthly bookkeeping and accounting for several companies which are part of a consolidated group. This position will oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledgers and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Accounting Manager combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. Accounting Manager duties include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.

We are currently based Sandy Utah, but are anticipating an office move to Utah County. The pay for this position is based on experience, skill level, efficiency, and capability.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly bookkeeping, accounting, and reconciling of bank accountants, credit cards and intercompany transactions for multiple entities
• Maintaining and coding general ledger charts-of-accounts for multiple entities
• Entering all accounting data including processing accounts payables including invoicing and paying bills for multiple entities
• Properly code expenses and revenue to general ledger
• Researching and checking for accuracy of all detailed transactions including fixing accounting issues, errors and omissions for compliance with GAAP principles and procedures
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Implementing budgets and forecasts as well as cash flow management and management projections utilizing excel and software systems.
• Performing month-end closings
• Preparing the trial balance
• Performing and assisting with internal control evaluations
• Performing budgeting variance and forecasting analysis and projections for various levels of management and performing a financial analysis for each client
• Perform final expense report review and manage reimbursements
• Managing financial ratios and creating KPIs, (Key Performance Indicators) and compiling customized financial reports
• Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts
• Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data on behalf of each entity, including CEO’s/Presidents and members of the executive management teams
• Building and managing additional accounting staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited University with 4+ years of experience
• Must have extensive experience with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop to be considered
• Must have advanced or highly trained skills in Excel
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software Systems, Google Docs, Google Drive, Outlook, Gmail, and common computer related skills
• Must have a solid accounting comprehension of debits and credits and how to create journal entries
• Must have strong well-developed leadership qualities and confidence in capabilities to perform under pressure and time constraints independently with little to no assistance from upper management

• Knowledge of common banking processes and the ability to set up and download banking account transactions
• Solid business knowledge and awareness of proper business relations
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Deadline-oriented and an ability to stick to time constraints
• Strong attention to detail and desire to probe further into data
