About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to support our Finance Team with the management of the auto-invoice process by liaising with our Enginuity Group colleagues to ensure customers receive their invoices right first time. Working closely with the Finance System & Processes Manager, Management Accountant and the Credit Analyst together with our outsourced accounting company, you will assist in achieving and sustaining Enginuity Group goals by facilitating income generation and the ultimate cash collection of that income.

What you’ll be doing

As a member of the finance team, you will be working with colleagues to auto produce the weekly invoices, identifying and addressing any queries in a timely and efficient manner. Using excel skills you will report on weekly invoicing statistics, and you will ensure manual completion for all 3 Group Companies and nominal postings are accurate by liaising with the Management Accountant. Accuracy for this role is important and you will be required to ensure the highest level of attention to detail at all times.

What we’re looking for

You will be part-qualified as a minimum and hold an AAT level 3 qualification or equivalent with experience of working in a finance/accounts department and transferring data from one system to another accounting system. You will have experience in producing workflows for use by others, have an understanding of accounting for income within a sales ledger and have a can-do-attitude solutions focused approach.

You’ll be proficient in excel, with strong organisational and time management skills with experience of working in a fast – changing environment, remaining calm under pressure.

Other skills which would be desirable however not needed to apply for the role

If you have a CIMA Certification Level or equivalent, experience and knowledge in credit control and previous experience working with/for Awarding Organisations this would be an advantage.
