Job Purpose

As a result of our continuing growth, Alpha Technologies, EnerSys has an opportunity for a Production Materials Specialist – Water Spider to join our Production group in our Burnaby location. While professional experience may be an asset, a good work ethic, high energy and a positive attitude are more important to our company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Processing and replenishment of materials used in workstation

Controlling/managing continuous flow of materials at each work station.

Complete equipment set-up/change over configuration.

Follow work procedures/operating instructions

Participate in continuous improvement activities as assigned.

Other duties may include assisting production, warehouse, shipping or other areas as assigned.

Qualifications

Background in Lean methodology is preferred.

Basic Microsoft office applications.

Ability to read, write and understand the local language.

General Job Requirement

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs / 23 kg on a daily continuous basis. Anything higher will be done with the assistance of mechanical device or with assistance of another employee.

Must be able to frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch.

Must be able to stand for a long period of time

This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore expect varying working conditions.
