Job Description

We are looking for highly motivated Prototype Design Mechanical Engineer with a passion for mechanical design and fabrication. The ideal candidate has worked in companies that have designed, prototyped and fabricated large mechanical systems or appliances. Excellent understating of solid mechanics, metal manufacturing processes and CADing are a must. You will be working closely with other design engineers and R&D scientists in the team to co-develop new products. Given the nature of this job, we require you to submit a portfolio of your previous designs. Enersion offer flexible working hours and possibly remote work location (you have to be in Canada).

Responsibilities

• Developing detailed 3 modelling of the design using AutoDesk, SolidWorks or OnShape.
• Detailed machine design including preparation of machine layouts, detail and assembly drawings.
• Sourcing & specification of mechanical commercial components pertaining to designs.
• Preparation of Mechanical Bill’s of Material and systems documentation.
• Assist with Drawing file system administration and project documentation

• Liaison between engineering procurement and manufacturing departments

Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or Equivalent.

• 3+ years of design experience in mechanical design and fabrication environment with clear design traction and portfolio.

• Experience with Solidworks™ in a machine design capacity.

• Knowledge of PDM document management system.

• Experience with Plant 3D or similar piping software is an asset.
