About the Role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Accountant on a permanent and full-time basis in our APAC Head Office based at Eagle Farm. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play an important role within the team and be responsible for a variety of accounts functions including accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliation, accounts administration and coordination. You will also be required to provide back up support to Payroll. Your responsibilities will include –

• Bank reconciliation and banking journals
• Review and reconcile debtor accounts
• Receipt debtor payments in a timely manner
• Process direct debit files, including credit cards
• Assist in following up overdue debtor’s accounts and debt recovery procedures
• Process authorized write offs and credit notes
• Reconcile corporate credit cards and employee reimbursements.
• Assist in Accounts Team’s month-end closing process
• Provide accurate and timely responses to queries
• Ensure all accounts related documents are filed and maintained properly
• Payroll back up for our APAC team, as required

About You

Our ideal candidates must be able to demonstrate the following –

• A formal qualification in Accounting or Finance
• Demonstrated experience in a high-volume accounts’ environment
• SAP experience and intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office skills (highly desirable)
• Payroll processing experience (desirable)
• Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
• Strong customer service focus with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate positive outcomes.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• A positive team focused attitude with the ability to work independently
