1.0 Duties and Responsibilities

The Vice President of Finance, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), will require a combination of strong technical accounting knowledge and financial solution skills mindset. This position reports directly to the CFO. This role is responsible for improving profitability and KPI reporting, modelling, and financial planning and analysis of the company’s performance along with ensuring financial statements are compliant with US GAAP. This individual works closely with the Executive team to establish Finance policies and system implementations to support best practices for the company as well as provides support, guidance and oversight on accounting and control matters. The position is responsible for supporting project analysis, validation of plans, and other ad-hoc requests. This role will align the commercial, operations, IT, and accounting department’s goals and values while inspiring confidence, enthusiasm, and commitment towards EnerCorp’s mission.

1.1 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Exercise judgement within defined policies and authoritative literature to determine appropriate accounting on significant and unusual transactions.
• Monitoring, assessing, documenting and communicating new GAAP, SEC and other accounting and disclosure issues
• Providing support to finance team and business partners on technical accounting matters as required, including research, analysis, and documentation of conclusions related to contracts and operational matters and leading the implementation of, and compliance with, new accounting requirements
• Preparing financial statements, including cash flow statements and related disclosures
• Ensuring successful completion of the company’s tax filings for federal, state, and property
• Conduct ongoing analysis and forecasts of the company’s performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
• Works to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking
• Work closely with peers, direct reports, and other departments to develop and implement strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
• Manage a team of nine directly and indirectly, working with all accounting staff to complete high level reporting, tracking, and analysis across functions.
• Mergers & Acquisitions accounting in, including due diligence for prospective acquisitions, intangible asset valuation and purchase accounting
• Facilitate year-end external audits and interim reviews as needed
• Conduct ongoing analysis and forecasts of the company’s performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
• Independently plan, lead and execute on projects, collaborating with other cross-functional teams while developing concise and compelling business cases for proposed projects.
• Oversee the Concur management system regarding the credit card spend analysis and reporting
• Lead and execute system implementation related to Concur Accounts Payable
• Prepare progress reports and communication to keep senior leadership appraised of the status, major risks and issues, scope changes, budgets, headcount and milestone achievements or misses, while proactively managing risks, anticipating potential issues and implement appropriate mitigations.
• Ensure strong communication and visibility with accounting and finance teams to ensure operational compliance with accounting, financial, tax, and other federal and state entity compliance.
• Manage staff and work to provide high quality, timely insight into financial and operational needs for the company.
• Review and advise on improvement opportunities related to financial tracking reports and reporting of vendor payment schedule and invoice status.
• Collaborate with procurement department to develop better reporting tools related to vendor spend, cost savings, fleet management analysis, and other support efforts to ensure better reporting visibility.
• Support with monthly client credit risk analysis and assessment of credit limits and credit reviews.
• Perform other reasonable tasks and projects as assigned by the CFO.

1.2 EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 10+ years’ experience in, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills.
• CPA certification required, MBA a plus
• Experience in IT systems general knowledge and support strongly preferred.

1.3 SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• High level of general office software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
• English is required language of business;
• Ability to interpret and perform analytical analysis on corporate financial statements including but not limited to P&L statements, balance sheets statements, cash flow statements, and AR/AP reporting, etc.
• ·Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong presentation and communication skills; must be able to provide succinct, strategic, and actionable insights to senior executives.
• Detail oriented individual with proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects concurrently and within projected deadlines.
• Must possess strong analytical, strategic, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to offer creative solutions and resourceful problem-solving skills a must.
• Ability to provide cross functional support to various departments and stakeholders requiring the ability to bridge both operational, financial, and other reporting requirements.
• Energetic self-starter with the ability to work independently, and at times with limited direction, in a fast-paced environment. Must have flexibility of working extended hours as needed, and the ability to work independently.
• In addition to independent qualities, the ability to work well as part of a team is vital.
• Skill in developing and implementing solutions that is appropriate to the problem while adhering to policies and procedures in accomplishing job objective.
• Skill in utilizing appropriate interpersonal styles and methods of communications to gain agreement or acceptance of an idea, product, strategy, or activity.

2.0 Physical and Safety Requirements

• Pass the required drug test.
• Travel to operating locations as required to develop product knowledge competency and general operational services understanding.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to hear and communicate without hindrance.

3.0 Others

• Reports to the SVP-Finance
• Work will be performed in the office, occasional shop/warehouse visits, and visitations to onshore North America well sites. Various outdoor weather conditions and loud work areas to be expected on occasion.
• The employee must be able to work independently. The employee must be adaptable to the unique working conditions that consist of long and irregular hours and changes in locations of work assignments. This position requires working in an office setting the majority of the time with occasional site visits where the conditions consist of: wet, cold, hot and/or humid conditions at well sites, working near moving mechanical parts, vibration, loud noise, potential of fumes or airborne particles, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals where proper PPE must be donned.
• Periodic business travel over a given period with the expectation that 2-3 business days will be spent per trip to ensure optimal time/financial resources to ensure job success.
• Will support and provide analysis to various executive and managerial on business-related matters.
