Ender pty ltd is is having a great opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Manager/Director and working closely with the wider team, you’ll be involved in all areas of finance and accounting. On a typical day you might find yourself

About you

With 1-2 years’ accounting experience, you’ll have a good knowledge of accounting concepts including accruals and prepayments. Your exceptional organisational skills are a given, as is your ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Additionally you’ll have:

· University degree in accounting or finance, ideally CA or CPA qualified

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

· Quick Sight skills desirable

· Advanced QuickBooks or Xero experience

· Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including accruals and prepayments

· Knowledge of statutory requirements relating to BAS, GST and payroll tax

Location: Geelong CBD Vic 31220 Salary: $56 k to$60k + Super + Travel Remuneration

Duties and Responsibilities of an Accountant

• Preparation of BAS and other ATO statements
• Preparing and analysing accounting records, financial statements and income tax returns
• Monthly reporting – preparation of monthly consolidated financial reports including posting of journals, preparation of reconciliations, and variance to budget analysis together with commentary
• Tax research and assisting with providing advice on tax planning and tax minimisation strategies
• Checking accuracy of reports and procedural standards
• Analysing business trends, operations, financial commitments and revenues
• Recordkeeping and maintenance of accounting systems
• Preparing manuals and forms for bookkeeping and accounting staff
• Carrying out surveys for finding out accounting needs
• Recommending solutions to accounting and other business problems
• Training junior accountants and supervising their accounting records
• Analysing financial statements and giving advice to the management as per the requirement
• Selecting accounting software as per the requirements of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Maintaining accounting and financing jobs and preparation of cash flows, income statement, and balance sheet
• Ensuring that the finance processes and internal controls
