A day in the life of Business Analyst @ Endeavour
A business analyst is a key player in facilitating successful business change initiatives. A business Analyst helps businesses to analyse their processes, products, services, and systems to solve business problems, explore new opportunities, improve current processes, and define solutions that deliver value to customers.

The Business Analyst ensures that the squad is set up for success by identifying and defining needs, opportunities and recommending solutions by facilitating a collaborative approach to maximise the value delivered to our customers and stakeholders.

They support the Product Manager in maintaining and optimising the product backlog in line with business prioritisation.

• Working closely with key business stakeholders and technical partners to understand and identify opportunities, impacts and outcomes
• Stakeholder analysis and management
• Product and system analysis
• Assisting the Product Manager (or working independently) in formulating the product roadmap and squad backlog
• Translating requirements into Epics/User Stories (e.g. functional or non-functional requirements) in partnership with the squad
• Continuously collaborating with business teams in order to help, support and design digital initiatives/products and drive future strategy with a unique opportunity to influence business direction and deliver business OKRs (Objectives and Key Results)
• Conducting market research and competitor analysis to propose new business cases and/or solutions
• Providing consultation on industry standards based on domain expertise
• Aligning with developers, designers and data scientists while translating business requirements into technical stories and acceptance criteria
• Ensuring the stories created by the squads are of good quality, eg. size, include a Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, Acceptance Criteria for testing (both functionally and non functionally).
• Having a data driven mindset in identifying customer problems using data from analytics, insights from customer surveys, user testing and heat-mapping
• Collaborating with external teams who can support the Squad during solution delivery, mapping out dependencies and creating mitigation plans with the Delivery Lead
• Analysing existing business processes, identifying opportunities and strategies to improve business efficiency and driving business process re-engineering initiatives
• Other traditional BA responsibilities, including running discovery workshops, facilitating ideation sessions, current state analysis, gap analysis, feasibility analysis and process mapping and project managing of RAPIDs/RACIs.
• Ensuring the business and technical components of the solution collectively provide the outcome for the customer
• Formulating the plan for productionising the solution in consultation with the squad members and other key stakeholders

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Proven experience as a business analyst with a good understanding of digital products and processes
• Not afraid to get into technical aspects of delivery
• Passion in this field and background in a retail or similar environment
• An Agile mindset with good understanding of Agile principles and practices
• Comfortable working in a cross-functional globally distributed team
• Strong business and commercial acumen
• Will have an analytical mindset, and is able to break a complex problem into pieces, ask the right questions, and propose recommendations
• Able to elicit business, functional and non-functional requirements as user stories and acceptance criteria that provide a solid foundation for the design and implementation of appropriate solutions
• Comfortable with reading and understanding insights from data. The BA will be working with a Data Analyst in the squad.
• Experience in the Atlassian suite, managing product boards and project documentation
• Enthusiastic and positive team member with a self-directed and self-motivated attitude
• Excellent collaboration skills with an ability to see past problems to solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills

• Be able to drive initiatives with the team but also being collaborative in your approach
