About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an inquisitive BA with a passion for business process optimization and who is comfortable with technology and data to join our new Bar Optimisation Squad within Endeavour’s ‘Advanced Analytics’ tribe.

The business analyst will focus on significantly maturing our capability to measure, forecast, predict and automate the optimal bar strategy and plan for our 350 + hotels across Australia.

The BA will be working as part of a newly forming cross functional squad and will be working closely with various business stakeholders, data analyst and service designer to reshape the pub experience for our customers.

The Business Analyst will ensure that the squad is set for success by identifying and defining needs, opportunities and recommending solutions by facilitating a collaborative approach to maximise the value delivered to our customers and stakeholders.

The Business Analyst will also support the Product Manager in maintaining and optimising the initiative and epic product backlog in line with business prioritisation.

A day in the life of a Business Analyst @ Endeavour….

• Work with business stakeholders to understand problems and opportunities; impacts and outcomes
• Evaluate, analyse, and communicate business requirements on a continuing basis with a clear documentation of current state and future state (optimised) business processes
• Assist the Product Owner and Delivery Lead with the build and formulation of the Squad Backlog
• Create and refine epics and stories aligned to customer and business problems
• Assist the Product Manager and Delivery Lead in managing the Squad Backlog
• Participate in daily agile ceremonies with a focus on continual improvement
• Keeping the stories within the backlog up to date and as the detail expands and evolves
• Working closely with UI/UX designers to delivery quality designs and ensuring endorsement from the relevant stakeholders
• Engagement with Subject Matter Experts and other Tribes/Squads who can support the Squad during solution delivery and facilitation of their involvement
• Ensuring that the business and organisational implications of day-to-day evolution of the solution are properly modelled and thought through
• Ensuring the impact of decisions are reviewed in the context of the customer, vision, and tribal purpose / mission
• Ensuring the business and technical components of the solution collectively provide the outcome for the customer
• Liaising with the team to ensure they have access to the right information from the customer and stakeholders at the right time, in order to assist the development of the solution and know that it will achieve the outcome
• Working closely with the squad and other key stakeholders in productionising the solution
• Support change management activities by supporting triage, preparing process mapping, training materials & FAQ and facilitating training sessions for end-users.
• Provide ongoing support to end-users and ensure that solutions are operating efficiently and effectively

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Extensive business analysis experience preferably in an Agile environment and in various domains
• Be somebody to ask WHY/HOW this is going to improve customer experience to help stakeholders drive product initiatives
• Excellent collaboration skills with an ability to see past problems to solutions
• Proficient in requirements gathering tools and techniques
• Strong ability to present complex information in an easy to understand manner
• Good understanding and experience in Business Process Modelling
• Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills
• Solid experience producing effective user stories and acceptance criteria
• Analytical mindset capable of breaking complex problems into smaller pieces
• Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Enthusiastic and positive team member with a self-directed and self-motivated attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
• Ability to see the big picture
