Emprise Canada Inc. is engaged in making innovative cannabis-infused consumer products to serve the health & wellness, edibles, and beverage market segments. The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, iNaturally Organic Inc., has received processing and sales licenses from Health Canada under Cannabis Act, for two facilities – one in Calgary and the second in the Town of Olds, Alberta. The company’s focus is on manufacturing products; it is not involved in cultivation and extraction business.

The company is looking for a Production Operator for its Olds facility. Preference will be given to a candidate living in or near the Town of Olds.

Job brief

We are looking for an experienced Production Operator to operate various production machines such as bottling, labeling, and topical, gummy and softgel manufacturing, etc. You’ll assure that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by organizing and implementing proper workflows. In a small enterprise, you are expected to perform full range of production duties as required on the production floor.

The operator is an integral part of the manufacturing process. The person must be competent and comprehend standard operating procedures, and act in accordance with these procedures.

The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Director of Manufacturing and Lead Operator.
• Receive and review Manufacturing Batch Record (MBR).
• Dispense ingredients, including cannabis materials, in accordance with the MBR.
• Operate production machinery as per Work Instructions.
• Label all inventory.
• Prepare products for shipment / sales.
• Document all activities.
• Submit reports on performance and progress. Complete MBR accurately and in a timely manner.
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
• Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
• Perform product re-work duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience as Production Operator or similar role.
• Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools, particularly production and packaging machinery.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
• Problem-solving skills.
• The person must be able to work independently and unsupervised in a small-team environment.

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in a technical field is required. (Equivalent work experience will be considered.)

• Must be able to successfully obtain a clear criminal record check and full security check under Cannabis Act regulations.

• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.

• Knowledge of Cannabis Act, GPP, and Health Canada regulations is preferred.

• Previous Health Canada Security clearance and work experience with a Canadian Licensed Producer in a manufacturing environment is an asset.

• Excellent analytical skills and above-average attention to detail.

• Capable of multitasking with minimal supervision.

Working Hours

· Normal working hours 8 am to 4:30 pm

· Some flexibility may be required

Compensation:

· Dependent upon relevant qualification, and experience

Salary: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
