Empire Tax Professionals Hiring for Junior Accountant Job at Flushing, NY Full Time

Our company is currently seeking a Full-Time JuniorAccountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records, and performing monthly accounting and tax services for our clients. We are a fast-paced environment and are looking for an experienced accountant who has worked in various industries for an accounting firm.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile Bank and credit card statements monthly

• Review financials to be able to indicate mistakes and make the right corrections

• Know how to assess a profit and loss and balance sheet

• Make appropriate payroll and tax entries if needed

• Experience with PayPal, stripe, and amazon is a plus

• Help out with cleaning up books and catching up on books for several months or years
• Experience running payroll and filing sales tax returns is a plus

• Tax Preparation Experience a must, 1040, 1120S, 1120, and 1065 returns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• Previous experience in Public accounting, finance, or other related fields

• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP

• Ability to prioritize and multitask

• Must know Quickbooks Online and Quick books Desktop

• Must have 2+ years of experience in accounting

• Strong organizational skills

• Deadline and detail-oriented

We are looking for someone to be available as soon as possible and someone who can work 40 hrs per week M-F. Tax season hours from January – April 15th, and extension deadlines of 55 hours is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
