Primary function of this position is to provide dynamic leadership and strategic guidance to the assigned sales team, fostering growth and maximizing revenue opportunities. Managing a diverse team comprised of directors through administrative level positions, the Vice President of Sales plays a pivotal role in driving the sales efforts and ensuring the achievement of revenue targets.
Job Duties:
• Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing direction and support to drive sales performance across contract, group, and transient segments.
• Set clear goals and performance metrics to optimize sales efforts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Collaborate with the Sales Team to penetrate government contracting markets, developing comprehensive strategies from initial marketing touchpoints to technical proposal submissions.
• Coordinate all aspects of contract opportunities, from lead identification to contract negotiations and management, ensuring timely submission and effective pipeline management.
• Cultivate strong relationships with brand representatives, management companies, and key accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for strategic initiatives.
• Foster a positive company image and growth by engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and employees.
• Track sales efforts and provide comprehensive ing to ownership, contributing to informed decision-making processes.
• Contribute to the overall team effort by participating in industry events and conferences, representing the sales team and advancing organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing strategies, driving brand visibility and customer engagement.
• Proactively engage in additional responsibilities as directed by manager or ownership, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to organizational success.
Skills/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field
• Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the hospitality or related industry.
• Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to drive results in a dynamic and competitive market.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in sales management tools and CRM systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a remote team effectively.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% based on current demand.
