Job Description

This position is for ADVANCED PHYSICS tutors. Tutors should be highly organized, motivated, and creative, bringing their own pedagogies and skills to complement the ones recommended by the company. Sessions take place in students’ homes, which are located throughout the city but typically concentrated in Manhattan. The position requires availability on weekday afternoons and evenings, with weekend availability a strong plus. All tutors must be able to commit to working with students through the end of June 2023.

Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, and magnetism is a MUST. Knowledge of calculus-based physics is a preferred.

Job Requirements

• COMMITMENT THROUGH THE END OF JUNE 2023

• Strong academic background required

• Patient, enthusiastic, and nurturing personality – you are not only a teacher to these students, but also a mentor, cheerleader, and role model

• Weekday availability between 3:30pm and 9:30pm (the entire window need not be available)

• Sunday availability (preferred, but not required)

• Ability to navigate Manhattan using public transportation

• Daily updates of Google Calendar shared with office administrators

• Minimum of a COLLEGE DEGREE (please, no current college students)

Job Commitment

• Availability through June 30, 2023

• Available 10 hours minimum per week
