Raw Material Handler & Sampler

Established in 1999, Empack Spraytech Inc. is a leading aerosol manufacturer, liquid filler, and custom contract packager. Located in Brampton, Empack manufactures products for a wide range of markets including personal care, household goods, automotive, computer care, industrial and outdoors. We offer private label programs and produce a range of products under our house brands that include emzone, zytec Germ Buster, and SunZone.

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Morning Shift: 8:00 am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities and duties:

• Responsible for incoming raw materials movement- post initial receiving
• Coordinate with QC and warehouse the incoming raw materials
• Document via required inspection forms
• As directed by QC, sample required materials as per their sampling plan and provide to QC
• Label Quarantined materials
• Upon release by QC, tag appropriate released materials and move materials to designated RELEASED location
• Update raw material database with locations and status per movement of goods
• Coordinate Raw materials for Compounding
• Coordinate with Compounding for kitting of required materials for scheduled batches
• Perform status / stock level checks (also cycle counts)
• Update raw material database with locations and status per movement of goods
• General housekeeping of all chemical storage areas
• Material handling with compounding staff in batching area when requested

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent. A Chemistry related Engineering or Science Degree or Diploma is desired
• 1-year work experience in a product manufacturing setting in Technical and/or Production functions
• Valid Forklift License
• At least 1 year forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment
• 1-year GMP work experience
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong analytical reasoning and math skills required
• Ability to work in a team and consult with various departments
• Ability to work in a demanding environment while adhering to Company policies and guidelines
• Accuracy with a high attention-to-detail.
• Must be able to lift and/or pull up to 50lbs
