TBG operates two open-cut coal mines in the Hunter Valley and proudly owns and operates Kings Engineering, an engineering business which specialises in machining, fabrication and component rebuilds..

Following an internal promotion, TBG is looking for a talented Group Procurement Manager with the depth of experience to lead and manage the efficient and effective delivery of purchasing, warehousing, inventory management, transport, tendering and contract processes for the Group. Also critical is the ability to develop business wide understanding of, and promote compliance with, the corporate governance standards relevant to these processes.

The key responsibilities are extensive, and commensurate with the high level of the role & are listed in a specific Position Description which is available on request.

Essential Criteria

• Highly desirable: Bachelor of Business or Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing, Logistics or Supply Chain 
• Management or a Commerce related discipline
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in purchasing, warehousing, and logistics management
• Demonstrated experience in leading contract formation processes
• Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably leading multi-level Teams
• Highly developed negotiation & influencing skills
• Competent general working knowledge of contract and commercial law
• Demonstrated skills in the assessment of business risk and its mitigation
• Sound understanding of legislation, standards and guidelines relevant to materials  management and transport
• Highly developed customer service focus
• Sound Microsoft Office computing skills & experience particularly in Excel and Word
• Experience in an engineering/ heavy manufacturing field
• Sound business management experience

A highly attractive remuneration package will be negotiated and include 5 weeks annual leave a fully maintained company vehicle or car allowance, if preferred, and discounted gym memberships. Although based from Rutherford, travel to all Bloomfield sites will be necessary, as required.
