Emergent Space Technologies Hiring for Software Engineer Full Time

We are currently seeking an experienced, full-time Software Engineer to join our team. This role requires a diverse skill set, including system engineering, aerospace engineering, software development, and system administration. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of developing, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting software for an operational multi-mission ground system.

Required Education and Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, or Aerospace Engineering with a strong software background, and 7-10 years’ relevant experience. Candidates with advanced degrees but fewer years’ experience will also be considered
• This position requires access to and use of export controlled technology; Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident

Required Experience:

• Advanced software development skills, particularly in C/C++, in higher-level programming languages, particularly Python,, and experiences with other languages such as or C#/Java and C#
• Computer networking systems and protocols
• Build, test, and deployment automation

Preferred Experience:

• Advanced software development skills lower-level programming languages like in C/C++
• Cloud computing services, particularly AWS and GovCloud
• User interface and web application development
• Space vehicle command and control software
• Ground system architecture and component development
• Space vehicle mission operations
• Application performance monitoring and analysis
• Unit testing, test driven development, and test automation
• DevSecOps tools and pipelines, such as GitLab, Docker containers, and others
• Knowledge of Agile / Scrum software development processes
• Configuration management and source code management systems
