Operations Finance Manager
About the Role
The Emeco Group is a world leader in heavy earth moving solutions, with the largest rental fleet in Australia. We have operations in all key mining regions of Australia and our customers include mining companies and contractors across coal, gold, copper, bauxite and iron ore.
In this newly created role, we are seeking a dynamic professional to join our Finance team based in Osborne Park. Leading a small team and reporting to the General Manager Finance you will be responsible for delivering high-quality reporting, planning and analysis and driving improvements in our internal reporting capability of the Rental and Workshops operating divisions.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of the monthly divisional P&L and rolling 12 month forecast
• Ownership of balance sheet for operating divisions
• Ownership of annual budget process for operating divisions
• Leading the Finance Business Partners to proactively report on divisional performance against budgets and forecasts (daily, weekly and monthly);
• Providing key financial information and insightful operational analytics to GM’s and Maintenance Managers;
• Monitoring and understanding operations and business performance to identify key, trends and issues, ensuring actions are taken to address budget shortfalls
• Develop new and innovative models/reporting tools to inform analysis and decision making
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process.
• Support divisions in tendering process and provide financial oversight of project approvals
• Overseeing contract administration processes and financial KPIs of the projects.

About You
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you must posses the following:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline;
• At least 10 years’ experience and 5 in a similar role;
• Strong business partnering skills;
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to apply knowledge;
• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to review and provide recommendations on financial performance across multiple projects;
• High level of communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to operate in a collaborative working environment;
• High level attention to detail;
• Ability to manage multiple workflows and reliably meet required deadlines;
• Problem solving skills and ability to deal effectively with difficult situations and a willingness to find creative solutions; and
• Strong time management and effective organisational skills, with the ability to think laterally, work under pressure and achieve work deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.
