Job Purpose
To provide a cost effective centralised recruitment function for the successful hire of temporary and FTC employees against agreed timescales and business unit budgets across all major business divisions within EMCOR (UK). Drawing from available internal resources as well as external recruitment. Using LinkedIn Recruiter to build talent pools, client mapping and other effective headhunting methods.
Responsible and accountable for all temporary recruitment across all client sites, providing regular updates to hiring managers on progress of vacancies throughout the process
Play an integral part in driving reductions in recruitment spend through direct sourcing methods using LinkedIn Recruiter and other verticals
Engaging with stakeholders to develop specific recruitment criteria, assessment tools, recruitment process, key dates & timelines for delivery
Ensure temp requests for the same day are actioned and recruited successfully, providing regular feedback to the requesting manager of progress
Conduct thorough screening for all applicants received via our portal
Working with hiring managers advising on methods of recruitment and adapting the recruitment strategy accordingly in order to deliver as effective and efficient service as possible
Ensure that all line managers are aware of the process for recruiting new internal and external employees and that the recruitment department is the single point of contact for all recruitment requests
Ensure all recruitment approvals are correct and approved in conjunction with the authority sign off matrix

Establish a process for drawing on internal resource across EMCOR (UK) to utilise those at risk of redundancy or where down turn in work is evident
Ensure strong relationships are developed with PSL of agencies, giving them a thorough understanding of the process for recruiting new employees and monitor agency non-compliance
Visit line managers at client sites, as and when required
Suggest new ways for line mangers to assess candidates, such as ability tests, open days, assessment centre
Support line managers at with the interview process by either leading on interview or scribing
Manage and update the online ATS system ensuring full functionality is utilised and information updated
Conduct telephone interview when required as part of the candidate sifting process
Utilising Internet Job Boards, paper based advertising and other non agency recruitment channels to reduce recruitment agency reliance
Promote Staff Introduction scheme as a recruitment channel and alternative to recruitment agencies
CV sifting on all vacancies to ensure only a short list of CVs per vacancy is submitted to hiring manager
Audit PSL agencies on ad hoc basis to ensure they comply with pre employment checks, DPA requirements, appropriate references have been obtained and that all documents supporting individuals’ rights to live and work in the UK have been returned and checked
Person Specification
Direct sourcing experience -extensive use of using LinkedIn and ideally familiar with LinkedIn Recruiter
Relevant HR or Recruitment qualification desirable but not essential
Extensive experience of volume in house recruitment desirable
Knowledge of Preferred Supplier List arrangements
Proven experience in designing and running assessment centres
A full understanding of temporary recruitment costs including margins and mark ups Extensive experience of both face to face and telephone interviews
High degree of proficiency with Word, Excel and Power Point
Recruitment agency experience desirable
Good communication skills and resilience under pressure
Ability to build strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders and external
Has sufficient tenacity and determination to manage the internal customer
Self starter and able to grasp/support change processes
Team player and good sense of humour
UK wide travel and overnight stays
