The Warehouse Associate role is vital to the success of the Profit Center (PC) team, as our products flow through the warehouse. The warehouse person receives, cuts, routes, fabricates, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
What are the key role responsibilities?
· Performs daily forklift safety check, reporting and/or correcting safety issues as necessary.
· Safely and effectively drives forklift, operates saws, routers and other equipment as needed.
· Reconciles inventory and maintain accurate inventory records.
· Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
· Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing and shipping area.
· Uses computer to enter records, print paperwork, and print shipping labels.
· Prepares all pallets and parcels for mailing and shipping.
· Welcomes delivery trucks, receives and tracks shipments using the appropriate tools.
· Communicates with other team members. Work well with others to keep things running smoothly.
· Handling merchandise with care while entering data into software programs such as an inventory and/or record-keeping system.
· Inspect inventory for defects or damages and document any instances
What would make you a good fit at North American Plastics?
· Forklift and Saw Certification is preferred.
· A high school diploma is essential
· Proven work experience in a relevant warehouse setting
· Gained skills in the use of pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks and any other warehouse equipment
· Capability to safely and skillfully operate a forklift, saws, and other machinery.
· Excellent working knowledge of warehouse data systems
· Inventory skills and excellent communication skills
· Physical stamina and dexterity vital for the work involving lifting and moving heavy loads
