Paper Process Engineer

As the Paper Process Engineer, you will be responsible to deliver of the process engineering deliverables on time, within budget and meeting quality expectations.

Paper Process Engineer Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $70,000.00 /annually
• First Shift

• Oversees all aspects and activities of process engineering while remaining responsible to quality and accuracy while remaining within budget and within schedule of deliverables.
• Have a full understanding of scope of project and expectations. Make appropriate changes when required and communicate changes.
• Establish design criteria for the project.
• Oversee the Process Flow Diagrams, heat and material balances, hydraulic calculations and other process engineering tasks.
• Review and sign off on all process engineering deliverables.
• Prepare all specifications and assist in the development for bid packages for procurement of equipment.
• Review and reconcile vendor information with the process design documents.
• Collaborate with leaders of the design team as well as other departments to ensure the alignment of the project.
• Review design information as well as drawings within inter-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare estimates based on design information and drawings for capital project development study.
• Stay abreast of industry standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Verify calculations, s, and studies made for accuracy and within code, specifications, design criteria, and good engineering practices.

Paper Process Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Paper Science.
• 10 years of experience in the pulp or paper industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of paper machine equipment, process, and operations.
• Effective communication skills, both verbally and written.
• PE is a plus.
