Elmwood Design, a global branding agency, are looking for a new Talent Acquisition Manager to help drive our talent acquisition strategy to ensure we have the right talent in place, at the right time, in order to achieve our vision.
The majority of the role will focus on driving recruitment activities where you’ll spend a large part of your day sourcing and attracting candidates using innovative and creative approaches across social media channels and job boards. You’ll develop good working relationships with select recruitment agencies in order to access their network, and ultimately aim to build a talent pool of exceptional individuals for now and the future.
Acting as an ambassador for Elmwood, you’ll manage the recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding, supporting candidates through their journey and ensure all receive a tailored Elmwood experience.
Working at pace will be vitally important in the role; driving candidates through the pipeline with momentum, making decisions along the way whilst effectively engaging with all stakeholders. As will the ability to design and lead on new innovative approaches to attracting candidates, ensuring we stand out from the crowd.
Given the expanse of the role from sourcing, through onboarding and into HR administration, the role would be ideal for a talent / recruitment professional looking to start their CIPD / HR journey where the Company will provide financial support for a formally accredited course of study. Or for a recruitment specialist looking to hone their skills and lead in their area of expertise.
As a minimum, previous experience working in an Agency environment is a must, as is having worked in the creative industries.

And whilst the role is being advertised as full-time, we would be happy to speak with candidates looking for a more flexible part-time working arrangement of no less than 28 hours / 4 days pw.
THE ROLE IN DETAIL
Reporting into the Head of HR to drive talent acquisition you will: * *

Take a full brief from the hiring manager, writing the role brief, advert and social media wording for positions at all levels across the business.
Take the lead on candidate attraction initiatives, devising innovative and creative new ways to:
– engage with our audience across multiple social media platforms
– conceive new and exciting ways to engage with candidates, devising innovative assets
– work closely with the Marketing Director to devise a candidate rich social media experience
– keep abreast of activities and work produced in the business that can support recruitment activities
– keep an eye on what our competitors are doing to ensure we remain relevant and exciting
– ultimately increase the number of inbound/speculative enquiries
Proactively source and engage with candidates on LinkedIn and other social media sites, building a database of candidates for now and the future, with a view to reducing agency spend.
Shortlist candidates at all levels, reviewing CVs and Designer portfolios.
Conduct initial telephone/ zoom interviews, providing detailed notes and recommendations to the hiring manager.
Liaise with the hiring manager and candidates / recruitment agencies to arrange interviews.
Deliver feedback to candidates and recruitment agencies in a timely and constructive manner.
Develop close working relationships with recruitment agencies, partnering with the right agency on each occasion.
Once a decision has been made to offer, take the lead on the onboarding programme:
– manage offer negotiations with candidates
– prepare offer letters, contracts of employment and any other paperwork
– prepare a structured and comprehensive induction programme tailored to each individual
– provide a seamless welcome start of employment for all new employees
– complete all administrative tasks including onboarding on our HRIS
Provide support to the Head of HR with routine HR queries from employees such as those around holidays, benefits or the practical application of our employee policies.
