The Accounts Payable Accountant’s primary function is to complete general accounting tasks. The Accounts Payable Accountant will also provide support to the accounting team. The following is a broad overview of the duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure invoice accuracy, verifying against the purchase order; enter the invoice into the accounting system, keeping pace with the fast-paced environment (meeting deadlines).
• Maintain accurate vendor files, review, and audit vendor invoices, and reconcile vendor statements.
• Cross-trained in other accounting functions to provide backup and overflow support.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. Minimum experience of at least three years in a related accounting position will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS office products.
• Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on detail and accuracy.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with vendors, management, & colleagues inside and outside the Company.
