As a growing, dynamic business, elk is looking for an experienced Accountant / Financial Controller.

The position will be full-time.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for working with a variety of businesses in our Business Group as their accountant.

You will be responsible for not just accounts payable and receivable functions, but also:

• Preparation of BAS
• Preparation of financial reports (as well as present and discuss the data with Management)
• Maintaining strong working relationships with clients, and relevant shareholders
• Company Audits
• Account reconciliations
• Payroll processing
• Cash flow management
• Process accounts transactions and ensure accuracy of data

The Successful Candidate will have the following:

– have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position

– Accounting Degree

– Have a relevant qualification i.e. Cert IV Bookkeeping

– Experience working with and processing Real Estate trust account

– Registered tax agent would be highly desirable

– Not just be a data entry person, but someone who understands and can interpret the fundamentals of bookkeeping

– Proficient in Xero

– Medium to Advanced skills in Microsoft office suite and Google applications

– A high level of attention to detail

– Strong writing and communication skills

– Be flexible to meet the needs of the business and Management

The successful applicant may be required to complete a police background check and will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Remuneration will be based on professional experience and qualifications.
