Operations Supervisor

Processing Supervisor / Site Supervisor

Ensures the productivity and effectiveness of department objectives established by management. Verify that all standard operating procedures are followed, and the desired productivity is achieved.

Works under the guidance of the established quality and production targets that impact the organization’s productions and effectiveness.

Job Duties :

• Planning and assigning duties for personnel in each processing function and ensure fulfillment of production schedules in all areas.
• By conducting cross training and to promote a team environment, ensure all employees can perform efficiently in all processing functions.
• Ensure the flow of product into the various departments on a continual basis. Verify that all products are identified correctly by type, quantity, and lot number.
• Assist with the proper operation and maintenance of all production equipment in the plant by verifying the classification of product into various categories (i.

e. : serviceable, defective, and condemned).

• Review all safety guidelines, workplace safety policies and OSHA requirements with personnel.
• Assist with personnel issues (i.e. : disciplinary actions, promotions, evaluations, and interviews).
• Must be able to deal with all levels of management and personnel from departments throughout the plant.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good operating condition.
• Perform various material transport functions throughout the plant as needed.

Minimum Requirements :

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years’ experience in plant operations, with an emphasis in a high-volume diverse environment.
• Computer proficiency required (MS Office preferred)
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills

Desired Qualifications :

• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Prior experience working in a continuous improvement environment is preferred.

$33.65 / hr -$34.65 / hr DOE

Temporary to Hire

Mon-Friday, 3pm-1130pm (some Saturdays)
