What Does a Tooling & Manufacturing Engineer do?

• Plans and coordinates projects of major scope and importance.
• Administer the process of tooling creation from print to fabrication for production.
• Create and manage: Bills of Materials, Routings, and Master Data within the ERP system.
• Provide manufacturing cost saving suggestions and implementation.
• Actively participate in in the engineer to order process from an equipment capability stand-point.
• Responsible for the technical implementation of lean manufacturing within your responsible areas.
• Responsible for definition of safe manufacturing practices within your responsible areas.

The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter, highly adaptable, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment. You should have strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively while meeting deadlines.
Job Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree (BS) in engineering is required or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years prior experience in manufacturing setting.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in tooling design, within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of tools including MS Office & AutoCad/SolidWorks
• Thorough knowledge of standard engineering practices.
• Fluent and well-spoken in English with excellent technical writing skills.
