Elevate NWO is a leading source in Northwestern Ontario for confidential HIV/AIDS/ Hepatitis C (HCV) and Harm Reduction education, prevention, advocacy and support. Formed in 1985 as AIDS Thunder Bay and recently renamed as Elevate NWO, we raise awareness of discrimination and stigmatization related to HIV and Hepatitis C, while responding proactively to the emergence of these viruses in our region.

Elevate NWO is seeking a dedicated, hard working individual to join our team as a Full Time Bookkeeper /Administrative Assistant to oversee the day-to-day financial transactions of the organization. The successful candidate will be an expert in QuickBooks and must have strong written and oral communication skills while being highly organized and deadline focused.

Responsibilities include

• Produce invoices as requested
• Communicate with responsible billing partners and clients
• Mail and e-mail invoices
• Calculate and process invoice adjustments

Skills and Qualifications

• Prepare working papers for accounting firm
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Simply and MS Office
• Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability and willingness to prioritize and meet aggressive deadlines
• Commitment to perform responsibilities with high professional and ethical standards and maintain strict confidentiality
• Be comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $25.00 – $48.00 per hour
