Electronic Environments offers a fast paced, fun environment where we deliver projects for customized home automation solutions including distributed entertainment systems, lighting controls, motorized shading, HVAC systems, access controls and IT infrastructure.

We are currently looking for an A/V Programmer to work out of our New York City office. A/V experience required, preferably within residential systems integration.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Writing control system programs; modifying existing code.
• Designing and developing custom graphical user interfaces (GUI) for touch panels.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and commission these systems. Visit job sites as needed.
• Maintain software project documentation in the company database.
• Support field technicians performing installations and service calls.

Requirements of the position:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be organized and proficient in time management skills.
• Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of programming experience with Crestron system programming tools.
• Experience with graphical interface design is required.
• Strong networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills are preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to program and debug Crestron systems at an advanced level.
• Savant & Lutron programming experience a plus
• Ability to conceptualize component interactions and installation environments to ensure desired functionality prior to physical installation.
• Knowledge of electronic components, network architecture, and programming systems typical of home automation, theater, and distributed A/V system installations.
• Knowledge of software development and programming methods used in the industry and the ability to implement processes and tools as needed.
