POSTION SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a Lead Software Verification Engineer to lead the test verification and validation for Design Assurance Level (DAL) A software. This role will be key to developing a strategy and plan to comply with the Verification/Testing objectives as defined in DO-178C for Safety Critical DAL A software.

This position is located in North Logan, Utah.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

• Lead the development and qualification of a software verification tool to comply with DO-330 requirements

• Oversee and develop test procedures and cases to verify battery management software

• Lead the internal /external software verification team to execute the verification plan

• Support test data analysis and reporting to leadership

• Manage test artifacts and represent verification team for regulatory audits

• Perform requirement and code review activities

• Mentor verification test team member

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; 4 years additional work experience in lieu of degree

• 10 years experience in safety critical software validation

• 3 years programming experience in C/C++ and Python

• Work Experience in all of the following areas:

• DO-330 tool qualification

• DO-178B/C verification and validation

• CAN communication protocol

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Relevant experience in Battery Systems, Electric Vehicles, or Automotive companies

• Experience with JAMA, GIT, BITBUCKET and JIRA tools

• Development of automations tools with Python
