ElectraNet Hiring for Finance Business Partner – Network Services Job at Australia Full Time

ElectraNet builds, owns, operates, and maintains the South Australian high voltage transmission network that delivers electricity from generators to distributors and major load connected customers, enabling power to be supplied to homes, businesses, and communities.

The Opportunity

The Finance Business Partner effectively delivers Financial Planning and Analysis activities for ElectraNet’s Network Services Division, and contributes to continuous improvement of systems and processes underpinning the Finance function. ElectraNet’s Network Services Division is responsible for asset engineering and maintenance program delivery, project engineering services and project delivery, major capital projects and network operations.

You will spend your days engaging with key stakeholders to deliver against business and budget objectives through management accounting and financial planning, advice, analysis, and support, delivering the Integrated Business Planning and Reporting Framework.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responsibility for the monthly management accounting and reporting of the Network Services Division, deliver insights and enable the business to manage financial outcomes
• Proactively support your stakeholders to deliver the annual budget and forecast requirements, with consideration of the overall capital and operating expenditure and workforce requirements of the business
• Support the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and the Head of Finance in preparing reports and presentations to the CFO and executives that enables risk and opportunity identification and delivers value focused actions, and provides sustainable and lasting outcomes
• Deliver business partnering that establishes Finance as a trusted business advisor by identifying value drivers to deliver insights and actionable advice to your stakeholders
• Provide accounting support, guidance, and financial control to the Network Services Division ensuring adherence to accounting policies
• Support business-wide compliance of timesheets, credit card submissions and other hygiene metrics through business partnering and initiatives.

About You

To successfully perform this role, you will be a Finance Business Partner who develops strong internal relationships with a high level of customer service. You will have strong influencing skills to deliver sound financial advice, supported by technical expertise and insightful data-driven analysis.

This role will suit someone with the following:

• Strong ability to apply innovative thinking, analytical skill and problem solving
• Ability to diligently undertake ongoing tasks being performed on either a daily/weekly/monthly basis
• Demonstrated positive, flexible and adaptable attitude with a willingness to take on a wide range of diverse tasks and adjust to competing and shifting priorities in a changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to apply sound project management methodology to effectively manage and prioritise work schedules and projects, whilst being a team player and operating within a cross-functional team environment
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to write, deliver and present accurate, data driven information to make informed recommendations; engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to support change management
• Demonstrated ability to support to deliver Business Planning and Analysis activities
• Contemporary knowledge of accounting standards and practices and practical experience in accounting/regulatory compliance
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, with experience in interpreting, analysing, manipulating and summarising large volumes of data to provide considered analytics and insight.

It is essential that you hold formal qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant discipline and post graduate qualification is desirable (e.g. CA/CPA). Minimum 5 years experience in a disciplined related role will be highly regarded.
