Corporate Finance Analyst – Investments

ElectraNet builds, owns, operates, and maintains the South Australian high voltage transmission network that delivers electricity from generators to distributors and major load connected customers, enabling power to be supplied to homes, businesses, and communities.

The Opportunity

As part of our Treasury and Corporate Finance team, you will undertake financial modelling and analysis to assess, research and investigate optimal capital financial plans, project investments and valuations that consider the commercial and regulated environments in which we operate. The role will also undertake portfolio reporting and provide market intelligence and commercial insight to a broad range of stakeholders, from the Board of Directors, Shareholders and Executives through to business leaders.

This position has become available due to an internal promotion and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their commercial experience in a complex technical environment, operating with the support and guidance of an established team.

Working in the Treasury & Corporate Finance function provides an opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of the company’s operations. The work undertaken and outcomes delivered by the function is highly visible across multiple divisions, the Board, Executive and Senior Leaders across the business along with external service providers and investors. This environment provides the team and individuals with a high level of challenging and career development opportunities.

About You

You will have experience in a similar environment, with proven high-level financial modelling and analysis, forecasting, scenario analysis, capital optimisation and valuations experience.

Your commercial acumen will be underpinned by influential stakeholder engagement skills demonstrated by the ability to effectively communicate and translate complex financial concepts and frameworks in a meaningful way, providing rich market insights and commentary for material and business critical financial planning and decision making.

Your approach will be positive and flexible with an adaptable attitude, a willingness to take on a wide range of diverse tasks and adjust to competing and shifting priorities in a changing environment, to achieve a best for business outcome.

Formal qualifications in Accounting/Finance or a relevant discipline and an approved accountancy or post graduate qualification (e.g., CA / CPA / CFA) is essential.
