Elecon Systems Ltd. has an opportunity for a 1st-2nd Year Welder Apprentice to join our team in Edmonton.

Under the supervision of the Journeyman welder, the role of the Welder Apprentice is to actively participate in the manufacture and assembly of various tanks, skids and trailer equipment.

Responsibilities:

Follow weld procedures to ensure quality products

Manual dexterity with ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Work safely and observe all safety rules to provide a safe place for all employees

Produce a quality product while meeting project deadlines

Other duties, as advised by direct supervisor.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Extensive experience in using band saw, cutting material to precise dimensions

Skilled at using equipment such as – welding machines, grinders and torches, plasma

Must have the ability to read and understand blueprint drawings

Possess mechanical aptitude, with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn

Punctual, and reliable

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English
