Practitioner SMEs will access summative assessment items through a test-delivery platform according to a schedule and instructions provided by the test administrator. Tests typically consist of approximately 100 to 400 items to be taken over 5 to 7 calendar days (including a weekend). Time commitment is 4-7 hours and must be completed within the test window.
Practitioner SMEs represent students who are proficient but not expert in the required material, i.e., graduates of a like program, individuals employed in the target domain, etc. SME practitioners will have the academic and professional background of the course(s) for which they serve as SMEs.
