Executive Director of Elder Law College (Part-Time Position)

This is a Part-Time remote or in-office (if in South Florida) position estimated at 20-25 hours per week.

About Elder Law College (ELC): ELC teaches attorneys how to enter the highly desirable field of Elder Law and to keep building successes. ELC offers four live webinar courses each year, each one lasting three and a half days. ELC provides one live in-person program each year. In the past, this has been in Boca Raton, FL. Each month, there is at least one one-hour live webinar for members only. ELC also has an active listserv and an extensive online member portal with videos, articles and forms. Elder Law Attorneys help the elderly, people with disabilities, their families and their caregivers with a wide range of legal services including estate planning, guardianship, long-term care planning and many related topics. It is a helping profession, and ELC is where it all begins for attorneys all over the country. ELC currently has members from 34 states.

About the Successful Candidate: The successful candidate will be responsible for most of the administrative functions of ELC. These are listed in more detail below. Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree or higher in any major.
• Experience in association management of membership organizations or related experience.
• Proficient with MSOffice apps and cloud storage drives such as Google Drive and/or DropBox.
• Proficient with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom.

Included Job Responsibilities:

• Applying for and assisting members with continuing education credits from Bar associations
• Coordinating the one in-person conference
• Confirming receipt of updated materials from the teacher(s) before each program
• Distribution of program materials to enrollees
• Relationship management and solidifying relationships with sponsors and allied organizations
• Identifying potential allied organizations
• Organization and administrative support for conferences and meetings, both virtual and in-person
• Provide overall support to company principals on administrative and organizational issues
• Coordinate billing issues with members and act as liaison with CFO’s office
• Maintaining member lists and other data and documents in cloud-based storage.
• Creating a member newsletter template (or, if lacking that ability, to coordinate with the appropriate person) and sending it every two weeks.
• Registration and internal forms management (registration forms, credit card authorizations, etc)
• Familiarity with ELC member portal and submitting updates and modifying/uploading new content with instruction from webmaster and principals.
• Tracking data such as sales appointments, conversions of sales calls, referral source for each enrollee, member attrition and retention, average revenue per member, commissions, and other data as directed by principals.
• Keep track of time and activity during work hours and submit same with time sheets to CFO.
• Edit videos for posting to Member Portal or find and oversee someone who can.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $2,500.00 – $3,000.00 per month

COVID-19 considerations:
During the pandemic, ELC has suspended all in-person programming. We remain largely a virtual educational platform and plan to reinstitute one annual live program.
