Primary Responsibilities:

The Digital Asset Librarian role ensures our marketing teams have fast access to the most current, approved creative assets needed to deliver our marketing materials. In this role, you will own the overall strategy, implementation, and workflow of our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. The Asset Librarian is responsible for light Photoshop work and in-depth file naming and tagging within an asset management environment. The Asset Librarian will adhere to nomenclature standards and coordinate with cross functional teams to aid in file activation and deployment.

• Steward processes for and the daily management of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system for the Allegion Home Marketing team
• Manage lifecycle (upload, distribution, renaming, publishing, and deletion) of product level assets in AEM
• Assist with developing nomenclature, tag management guidelines and asset management processes for the Digital Asset Management system
• Act as the key liaison between our Creative, Marketing, and Content Database Management teams with regard to digital assets and archiving
• Create and maintain monthly reports of asset uploads and releases
• Work with Photoshop master files to create final JPG’s when necessary
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the Content Database Management team to ensure delivery of product level assets (image assets, enhanced content and copy) to the Salsify database
• Manage the upload of web optimized digital assets to product information management (Salsify) software for both new and older instances
• Maintain records of licenses, releases and expiration dates of all digital assets
• Assist with the creation of archival processes for product level assets and data within Allegion systems (AEM, Salsify, servers, Dropbox)
• Audit product level assets in AEM and Salsify to verify and manage any content gaps

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science or Library Science
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience working in a digital asset management environment
• Solid knowledge of web CMS and asset management systems
• Proven experience working with metadata and taxonomy, ideally with a large Digital Asset Management (DAM) or Media Asset Management (MAM) system desirable
• Highly organized individual
• Strong attention to detail
• Thrive working within a system
• Ability to build a network outside the core team
• Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop
• Photo/Video library experience a plus
